The Asia America Symphony Association Bravo Gala Awards ceremony will be held on June 9, 2013 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites. A map is shown below.
This year we are recognizing the Japan America Society of Southern California (JASSC), an organization with a long and celebrated history of service in our community and dedicated to building economic, cultural, governmental, and personal relationships between the people of Japan and America. AASA has partnered with the JASSC on several occasions, including many activities in support of the victims of the March 11, 2011 disaster in Japan.
Jeff Kashiwa is compelling young saxophonist playing contemporary jazz music. He has performed hundreds of performances recently as a solo artist, and previously as the sax man for The Rippingtons and as one of the founding members of the Sax Pack. Jeff has also performed with the Asia America Symphony Orchestra and our director, David Benoit.
The Asia America Symphony Association Bravo Awards
The Bravo Awards Gala and Dinner is the major fundraiser for AASA and provides funds for our programs to support our Asia America Youth Orchestra (AAYO). The AAYO is made up of approximately 65 high school aged musicians and it provides these youth with a unique educational and performance experience. With funds for the arts drying up in schools, the AAYO offers these young musicians a unique opportunity for growth and achievement.
Please join us to celebrate our awardees and to support our youth programs.
